What is a Goshen?
Where the name comes from
When famine drove Jacob’s family into Egypt, Pharaoh settled them in the land of Goshen (Genesis 47:6). They lived inside the most powerful kingdom on earth, yet apart from it. When judgment came, God said, “I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people dwell” (Exodus 8:22).
A Goshen today is the same: people living in the world but not of it, working together for another Kingdom.
